"I popped over to Old Mill Saddlery..."
I popped over to Old Mill Saddlery and was pleasantly surprised by the parking. I managed to get a space close, so I wasn’t circling around forever, which always makes a visit feel easier. Just a small heads-up for anyone going: it can feel a bit tight when you’re pulling out or leaving, so take your time. Nothing stressful though. Overall, much easier than I expected.

"Packaging really should’ve been better"
I don’t think I’m being too picky here, but the order showed up in a really thin bag with barely any padding at all. The box was crushed, and the items inside looked like they’d been knocked around during delivery. I get that shipping isn’t always perfect, but with packaging that flimsy, I feel like this was kind of avoidable. expected better.
"Just bad timing for us, I think"
The saddle looked fine when it arrived, but it just didn’t work out for us. It felt stiff to me, and my horse seemed uncomfortable even after shorter rides. it might’ve partly been bad timing since we were trying to get back into a routine, but either way, we just weren’t happy with it. Not awful, just not the right fit for us.

"Fell apart way too fast"
I only used it for a few rides, it already started falling apart. Disappointing because I expected it to hold up a lot better.

"Helpful financing, but a little confusing"
I was in a practical, budget-watching mood when I was browsing oldmillsaddlery.com, so I was glad to see they offer financing options. It definitely makes the bigger purchases feel a bit more manageable. That said, the details weren’t as clear as I hoped, and I ended up clicking around more than I expected just to understand how it worked. It’s not a bad setup, but it could be explained better. 3 stars from me...

It took a few days to arrive, which made me a little unsure at first because I like to know things are on track. Everything turned out fine in the end, but a little more reassurance or updates along the way would’ve helped

"Click and collect wasn’t as convenient as expected"
I chose click and collect because I figured it would be quick and easy, but my order wasn’t ready when I arrived and I ended up waiting around. For anyone else expecting it to save time, it might be a bit frustrating. It kind of defeats the purpose, and I probably wouldn’t use that option again.

"Disappointing in-store experience"
I went in looking for some riding boots and felt ignored the whole time. The staff didn’t seem interested in helping, and when I finally asked a question, it felt like I was bothering them. On top of that, I kept having to verify the same details more than once, which got really frustrating. I ended up leaving without buying anything. Definitely not the kind of service I was expecting.

I don’t know... the site just gave me a weird feeling?? There wasn’t much clear info, i didn’t feel comfortable placing an order there. Maybe it’s fine, but I personally wouldn’t rush to put my card details in!!! I’d definitely be careful and look into it more first...

"I ordered something that was showing as in..."
I ordered something that was showing as in stock, only to be told a few days later that it actually wasn’t available. It’s not even about that on its own, these things happen, but I needed it that week and could’ve ordered elsewhere if the website had been accurate. Just a frustrating experience overall, and I probably wouldn’t be in a hurry to order again.

"Gift voucher ended up being a hassle"
I tried using a gift voucher and it was way more annoying than it should’ve been. The process was confusing, it took ages to get sorted, and I kept feeling like I was missing something. Not saying it’s a scam, but it definitely didn’t feel straightforward or worth the effort. I wouldn’t bother with it again

The experience wasn’t great. I had to keep reaching out just to get updates, and the replies felt slow. The order details weren’t very clear either, so it ended up being more frustrating than it needed to be. Well... Old Mill Saddlery does have a decent range, and I managed to find what I needed without much hassle. That said, the prices aren’t always the best. Some things seemed fairly priced, while others felt a bit expensive compared to other places I’ve looked. The quality seems fine overall, but I’m not always convinced the value is quite there. I’d probably shop there again if I couldn’t find the item cheaper somewhere else.

"Refund took way longer than expected"
I’ve ordered from them a few times and do like the brand, which is why this was so frustrating. I returned an item and then heard nothing for ages. I had to follow up twice before anything really moved, and the refund still took way too long to come through. I want to keep shopping with them because I’ve had good experiences with the products, but the returns process definitely needs sorting out.

"Took Longer Than I Expected"
My order finally showed up after about two weeks. I was expecting it to arrive sooner, or at least get clearer updates along the way, but there wasn’t much communication in between. It did get here in the end, just not quite the experience I was hoping for.

"I really wanted to like the selection…"
I really wanted to like the selection, but I left wishing I hadn’t made the trip. The range felt limited, and a bunch of the things I was hoping to find just weren’t there. Some sections looked kind of bare too, which was a shame. I ended up walking out without buying anything, and I definitely felt a bit disappointed afterward.
